5 Apps I Use Every Day As A Freelance SEO Writer
Have you tried Notion yet?
It seems like yesterday, but I remember getting my first freelance gig in 2018. I wrote 2000-word articles for about $14. The work was hard and sometimes unfulfilling. Yet, slowly, I moved on to another client, then another, and another. Then I started finding topics I enjoyed. With more experience came higher rates and amazing clients that are a joy to help.
Since then, I’ve done well over 1,000 articles and have had some great months financially.
Freelance writing has allowed me to work on my terms. Writing has also led me to rely on apps to make the process easier.
My writing revolves around Search Engine Optimization (SEO), so I need to understand what specific words and phrases I’m targeting.
While there are other apps I use from time to time, these five apps are non-negotiable.
1. Notion
Notion is the app of choice for most freelancers, solopreneurs, consultants, and small business owners. Notion has also built a bit of a cult following over the years, with YouTubers and Notion Business Consultants making thousands of dollars building notion templates and workflows.
