I came across a question in a recent tweet I read.

“What early career mistake will you never make again?”

I had a 10+ year run as a supervisor and manager in Customer Support.

I learned a lot over that time.

But I did make my fair share of mistakes.

In the end, I left disenfranchised and not living up to my potential.

However, those mistakes were great lessons that I’ve taken with me on my solopreneur journey.

Anyone can build a happy, successful career working 9–5. Jobs aren’t perfect, but you do have the opportunity to make them your own if you avoid the same 5 mistakes I did. Let’s jump in:

Too often, we think networking is sucking up to bosses. This is especially jarring for introverts like me, who prefer to put their heads down and do their work.
