Skills pay the bills.

I love getting my hands on new courses and content. I’ve spent more than I’d care to admit on online classes. Some have been helpful, and others are utter trash.

Sometimes, there is some free content out there that is valuable and actionable. So good, in fact, you can almost immediately see a return on your investment of time. And even make some extra money.

This year has taught us all to diversify and grow our income. At the same time, many are unable to purchase courses for hundreds of dollars.

The five courses I mention below are free.

And how you can use it to grow your business.

“I just wanted to call you to say that I’m so glad I met you.”

“Ummm, ok, thanks!”

It was a call on from one of my clients — a dermatologist — on a random Tuesday. I was surprised at first but felt all mushy inside afterward. In the six months, we’ve been working on her website’s SEO (or Search Engine Optimization), she’s been able to double the number of client calls and bookings. When you see results like this, it motivates you to go the extra mile.

The art and science of Search Engine Optimization has been around for…

Work on these three things for 2021 to see some great progress.

I sucked at Math from ages 6–11. I was more of a writer. At 12, I got an amazing teacher who changed my perspective on the subject. He’d constantly show us that Math is everywhere, and it’s crucial to how we live our lives. From there, I was hooked. Now, I don’t hesitate to show my 6-year-old daughter the power of Math, and she seems to be shaping up to be a lot better than I was at her age.

Equations are the biggest Mathematical concept that governs our lives. They are everywhere. You basically take two or more variables…

Whatever your rates are, you should be doubling them. But not without earning it first.

Are you a freelancer? Great!

Looking to become a freelancer? That’s great too.

Whatever your stage, you should be thinking about doubling your rates. You clicked on your article because you know that to be true. And if the thought of doubling your rates makes you shift in your chair, two things are clear:

  1. You aren’t charging enough.
  2. See Number one.

Doubling your rates does the obvious job of doubling your income. It also opens you up to a whole new type of client. More importantly, it expands your mindset. You’ll no longer be competing with others for the same…

And can you have one without the other?

If you search Medium, you will find countless articles on morning routines. In that search, you’ll be sure to find at least one penned by yours truly. You can find books, courses, and even coaches who can teach you to have a better routine. Morning routines will forever be a topic of interest since successful people swear by them. We obsess over morning routines hoping that we could find something that could turn our lives around. In a nutshell, a morning routine looks like this:

  • Wake up at the same time every morning.
  • Avoid your phone/email.
  • Hydrate.
  • Journal to get…

Freelance writing can be a challenging yet rewarding experience. Recently, I’ve received great feedback from two of my clients, as they’ve seen revenue growth directly from the content we’ve created and promoted. Despite that, I’m always thinking about ways to be better. There are thousands of writers who do what I do. To make sense, I need to find ways to get into the top tier of my desired niche.

It’s easy to take your current talents to get as many freelance writing clients as possible. …

At any age and any stage, this is all you need.

“I’m 30, and I’ve ruined my life.”

Someone on Quora recently posted this, asking for help. My initial thought was, “ I’m 34, and if everything were to fall apart now, I wouldn’t feel like I’ve ruined my life. I feel like it’s just starting!” Despite how I feel, this is a reality for many in their 30s, 40s, and even 50s. Everything that they’ve spent time building is gone in an instant. They feel hopeless.

I’m not where I want to be by any stretch of the imagination. But if I lost everything and had to start back from…

Everyone wants to influence you to their benefit. But you already know what to do.

Photo by Austin Neill on Unsplash

Back in 2019, I took up a full-time job to go along with my then freelance writing side hustle. Things did not feel right from the start and I knew it. But I stuck with it. After all, I’ve been trying to implement multiple streams of income as so many experts are insistent we must do.

So there I was, burning the candle at both ends, with one side taking a little part of my spirit every day.

As the days went on, the voice in my head got louder and the feeling in my gut became heavier. One particular…

Spend more time building these for a more fulfilled life.

We’re going through a gold rush right now. It’s easier than ever to make money. You don’t even need to put in much effort or have immense talent anymore. I’ve not been employed by conventional means for over two years and I simply use my existing skills to earn a living. And if I’m honest, I’m not even doing the best that I can right now.

The internet and social media, knowing this, have capitalized on our attention. The near-infinite opportunities and FOMO have made us all obsess about being rich. Being rich is not inherently bad. It’s actually a…

Proper Preparation Beats Piss Poor Performance

I’m writing this one and a half months into 2021. If you’ve stumbled through 2020 battered and bruised, you feel like this year is a period for you to execute on the lessons you’ve learned and take another shot at those 2020 goals. You have to do so while still battling a pandemic and navigating the other dangers of the world.

It’s easy to lose track of the things you want to achieve and fall back into bad habits and behaviors. Before you know it, the year is almost over, and you haven’t reached any of the things you set…
