There’s a 15-year-old tweet from entrepreneur and investor Naval Ravikant that’s becoming more relevant today and going forward:

It sounded crazy back then.

Now, Approximately 1.57 billion people in the global workforce are considered freelancers, and 46% of the global workforce is self-employed.

You can become a freelancer or solopreneur.

Virtually, a business of one.

While we’re trending towards solopreneurship, that does not mean it’s easy. Some trials come with freelancing. You have to find new work constantly. People will ghost you. You may start with work you don’t like. The list goes on.

Despite these drawbacks, the ability to manage your time and determine your income is nothing to sniff at.

Most freelancers struggle because of a lack of preparation and underestimating the skills required to succeed.
